Dr Tarikul Islam is a Lecturer in International Business within the Business School of the University of South Australia. Prior to joining UniSA Business School, he has worked at Deakin, La Trobe and the Central Queensland universities in Australia. He holds a PhD in International Business Strategy from Deakin Business School, Australia and an MSc in International Business from the Hull University Business School, UK. Dr Islam has teaching and research interests in the governance of cross-border buyer-supplier relationships, resilience, circular economy, block chain, sustainability, innovation, organisational capabilities, internationalisation of emerging economy firms via global value chains and quantitative research methods. His research has received numerous international recognitions and funding including the early career research grant from the National University of Singapore, Emerging Research Excellence Award from Torrens University Australia, A competitive research grant from Abu Dhabi University, UAE and the prestigious International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS). He has published in the top quartile academic outlets such as International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, Business Strategy and the Environment, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, and Internatioal Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
