About me
With academic qualifications of a Diploma in Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography), Diploma of Medical Sonography and Graduate Certificate in Research Methodology, Teresa presents with an extensive clinical history in medical imaging, demonstrating experience and knowledge in the modalities of diagnostic radiography, CT and ultrasound.
At various times throughout her comprehensive work life, she has been clinically involved in all modalities, whereas other times has focused on working in a single modality or academia and at times, combining both.
She has had the opportunity to work in both the private and public clinical settings, city and rural locations, and in supervised and unsupervised practice, and this varied exposure has allowed her to not only maintain skills and knowledge of the industry but demonstrate continuing competency in a contemporary environment.
Education of self and others has always been a focus for Teresa, having previously co-ordinated courses in the Post Graduate Medical Sonography Program at UniSA. She is committed to providing high quality, flexible teaching and learning outcomes in both traditional and contemporary modes of delivery.
The sharing of skills amongst allied health professionals is an important focus for Teresa, demonstrated by her involvement as a facilitator in Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) scanning workshops, assisting in the training of rural and emergency medicos in the use of ultrasound in the emergency setting. Regardless of experience, it is impossible to teach without learning something for and about yourself……
