Terry Friebe is a Registered Nurse who commenced her career in nursing in 1986, first as an Enrolled Nurse, returning to study in 1990 to become a Registered Nurse. She has a vast range of surgical nursing experience ranging from Vascular Nursing, Plastics and Reconstruction, Breast and Endocrine, gynaecology and colorectal nursing. During this time, she developed an interest in Nurse Education whilst working with students undertaking clinical placements and Transition to Practice Nurses within her workplace.

Terry Friebe is a Registered Nurse who commenced her career in nursing in 1986, first as an Enrolled Nurse, returning to study in 1990 to become a Registered Nurse. She has a vast range of surgical nursing experience ranging from Vascular Nursing, Plastics and Reconstruction, Breast and Endocrine, gynaecology and colorectal nursing. During this time, she developed an interest in Nurse Education whilst working with students undertaking clinical placements and Transition to Practice Nurses within her workplace.
Terry commenced at University of South Australia in 2006 where she commenced teaching and clinical facilitating in the Australian Registered Nurse Training Program (a bridging course for overseas trained registered nurses and return to practice registered nurses), and later, the Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Bridging and Re-entry) program. During this time, she coordinated and taught into all courses within these programs. Terry has also coordinated and taught within the Bachelor of Nursing at UniSA and within the Diploma of Nursing for several RTOs. Many of the students within all education areas have been from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds which led to an interest in exploring the challenges these students face within clinical environment and how they impact on their learning. Her studies within her masters of nursing degree focused on identifying the specific challenges faced by the CaLD student and their role within the Mentorship team.
Terry currently course coordinates Comprehensive Care of the Older Person, Palliative Care Nursing and Leadership and Management in Nursing and Health Contexts. In her capacity of Program Co-ordinator, she works closely with the Program Director (Post Graduate Nursing) to ensure high quality post graduate programs and courses and supports the post graduate teaching team.
Terry has a Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing Practice (Clinical Teaching) and a Masters in Nursing (Education)
