Victoria Danambasis is a Lecturer in the School of Art, Architecture and Design, and a Tutor in the School of Law. As a lecturer, Victoria's prime focus is to promote quality teaching standards and enthusiasm for learning amongst her students. Victoria uses her extensive practical experience as the basis for all her teaching. Victoria has practised as a volunteer for the Environmental Defenders Office, where she provided advice to clients about government decision making processes and outcomes. About me
Victoria Danambasis is a Lecturer in the School of Art, Architecture and Design, and a Tutor in the School of Law. As a lecturer, Victoria's prime focus is to promote quality teaching standards and enthusiasm for learning amongst her students. Victoria uses her extensive practical experience as the basis for all her teaching. Victoria has practised as a volunteer for the Environmental Defenders Office, where she provided advice to clients about government decision making processes and outcomes. Victoria acted as a supervising solicitor in the UniSA Law School's Legal Advice Clinic.
Victoria holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of Adelaide. She practised for over a decade advising government clients at the Crown Solicitors Office and at Norman Waterhouse Lawyers followed by an extensive stint in the position of Corporate Governance Advisor at the largest metropolitan council in South Australia. During her employment, Victoria honed her practical expertise in Administrative Law in a broad range of jurisdictions, including workplace health and safety, planning and development, local government, child protection, professions, licensing, fisheries and disciplinary matters.
Victoria’s research interests are in public law generally, and specifically with respect to parliament’s ability to exclude judicial review of administrative action. She also has an interest in the exercise of prosecutorial discretion in cases involving offences committed against children and local government matters.

Victoria is interested in exploring the Parliament's ability to exclude judicial review of executive action, and the role of statutory interpretation, particularly the application of the principle of legality.
She is currently investigating state prosecutorial discretion, particularly where it concerns offences committed against children, and whether prosecutorial decisions in relation to such offences should be subject to judicial review.
