Dr. Ysabella Van Sebille is the Program Facilitator responsible for Health programs at UniSA Online. About me
Dr. Ysabella Van Sebille is the Program Facilitator responsible for Health programs at UniSA Online. She has responsibility for leading the development and delivery of teaching for UniSA Online students. Her role involves working closely with staff to provide high-quality online teaching to undergraduate students, and to coordinate the day-to-day activities of online course facilitators. In this role, Ysabella is committed to ensuring every student is well supported to succeed with their studies in a flexible style that allows them to choose where and when they study.
Ysabella is a member of the Cancer Treatment Toxicities Group. She completed her PhD (Medicine) on gastrointestinal toxicities of cancer treatment, with a focus on developing interventions for targeted therapy-induced gastrointestinal toxicities. Dr Van Sebille’s research has been published many times, all in quartile 1 journals, and is widely cited. Ysabella has conducted contract research with Pfizer, and her work has been acknowledged with over 20 awards, including The South Australian Young Achiever of the Year (2017, Science and Technology), as a Finalist in the SA Science Excellence Awards, The Florey Medical Research Grant for Cancer Research, and a Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Research Excellence. Dr Van Sebille is a member and ambassador for the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), and is the chair of the MASCC Digital Health subgroup. Her work has been featured in the media multiple times, including live on Channel 9 news, The Advertiser, and multiple radio interviews. She also frequently engages in community presentations, particularly those that promote women into STEM fields.
