Dr Ali Ardeshiri is a senior research fellow at UniSA Business School. Dr Ardeshiri has diverse cross-disciplinary experience in analysing demand and behaviour towards services, goods and policies in areas related to mobility and transportation, environment and resource management, housing and urban economics. Ali’s research has contributed to studying human behaviour and its application in various urban, transport and environment-related contexts. About me
Dr Ali Ardeshiri is a senior research fellow at UniSA Business School. Dr Ardeshiri has diverse cross-disciplinary experience in analysing demand and behaviour towards services, goods and policies in areas related to mobility and transportation, environment and resource management, housing and urban economics. Ali’s research has contributed to studying human behaviour and its application in various urban, transport and environment-related contexts. He has previously worked at the Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI) – UNSW and Institute for Choice (I4C) UniSA. He received his PhD in urban economics from Newcastle University (UK).
Findings from his research have been published in some of the most prestigious academic journals in the field of transportation, urban and environmental resource economics and agriculture economics and presented at multiple national and international academic conferences, workshops and symposiums.
Ali has collaborated extensively with industry and government partners to conduct research that addresses major practical challenges governments and policymakers are facing. These include the Department of Transport, Planning and Infrastructure (DPTI) South Australia; Randwick city council, Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities (DIRDC), NSW Department of Environment, Energy and Science (DEES) and Business South Australia, Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
