Dr Amie Albrecht is a Senior Lecturer in the School of ITMS and a researcher within the Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
Amie's research is motivated by industryinspired challenges, mainly in Operations Research with applications to transport problems, and is funded by ARC Discovery and Linkage schemes and Cooperative Research Centres.
In her teaching, Amie is particularly interested in developing mathematical thinking and problemsolving skills. She inspires and equips teachers to incorporate authentic mathematical practice in their classrooms. An enthusiastic science communicator, Amie is regularly invited to work with students, teachers and the community.

The Energymiser incab driver advice system, developed by the UniSA Scheduling and Control Group, uses optimal control theory to help train drivers stay on time and minimise energy use.
