Caroline Batty is the inaugural General Manager for Education Futures. In this role she leads service and operational support to the programs and research activities within the Academic Unit, and is the primary contact for central support services. About me
Caroline Batty is the inaugural General Manager for Education Futures. In this role she leads service and operational support to the programs and research activities within the Academic Unit, and is the primary contact for central support services. Caroline also supports the development, implementation and monitoring long-term strategic plans and annual business plans, workforce planning, internationalisation plans, research plans and student load growth plans.
Her previous role was Senior Project Manager in the Office of Strategic Programs, currently managing the Enabling Projects of UniSA Academic Organisational Transformation Program. In this role she leads project controls, stakeholder engagement and change management, issue and risk management across 13 projects involving systems changes, policy and governance review, process changes and communications.
Caroline led UniSA's successful SAGE Athena SWAN Bronze application - to support the University's commitment to growing a diverse workforce and creating an environment in which talent thrives and difference is valued. Caroline was the project manager for our Stretch RAP, Aboriginal Research Strategy and is currently managing the Evaluation of Aboriginal Content in Undergraduate Programs. Each of these projects is designed to build UniSA's capacity and engagement with Aboriginal Knowledges: ways of knowing, being and doing. She has also supported two Vice Chancellors External Reviews, supported academics build partnerships with industry and managed UniSA EQUIS accreditation.
Caroline was a Senior Manager in the South Australia government and has worked across many areas including higher education, Aboriginal affairs, arts, transport, economic development, skills development and population policy. She has also worked with the not-for-profit sector and local government.
Caroline enjoys creating value by connecting ideas, people and action and by designing and activating cultural change and improvement initiatives. She has extensive experience in strategic planning and policy development, change management and co-design, leading in environments that require high levels of influence and developing high performing teams.
Caroline holds an Advanced MBA and a Bachelor of Economics. She is a registered PROSCI change manager and has qualified as a Certified Practising Accountant.
