About me

I'm a social philosopher whose work is situated in cultural studies, continental philosophy and gender studies. I'm one of the key global founders and leaders of critical suicide studies, which was established in 2016. My research examines the agency of suicide, focusing on topics such as gender, sexuality, youth and/or rurality. My research also focuses on challenging the relationship between ethics and morality in understanding suicide as an existential phenomenon. I'm very experienced in qualitative research methods such as interviewing, participant observation (ethnographic), focus groups, and participatory workshops, and creative methods such as poetry and autoethnographic writing.
