Professor Gu is an Associate Editor for the international journal Architectural Science Review (ASR, Q1). He has also guest-edited/chaired/reviewed for major international journals/conferences in the field. He was a Visiting Scholar at MIT, Columbia University and Eindhoven University of Technology.
