I am currently an ARC DECRA Research Fellow working at the Centre for Cancer Biology (an alliance between SA Pathology and the University of South Australia) with Prof. Michael Samuel in the Tumour Microenvironment Laboratory. During my Ph.D. (University of Adelaide) I investigated the role of chemokine receptors in breast cancer within the cancer stem cell and various immune cell populations. Throughout my postdoctoral career my research has been focussed on understanding how mechanical stresses and mechanical signalling, in particular the Rho-ROCK signalling pathway, contribute to the generation of a pro-tumourigenic microenvironment in breast and other solid cancers.
