About me
Dr. Stuart Baulk is an Online Course Facilitator in Digital Media at UniSA Online, and a practising web, graphic and e-learning designer. He teaches UniSA Online courses in Web Design, Digital Graphics and Imaging, Digital Media Projects and the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) sector.
Stuart completed his PhD in Psychology in the early 2000s, before working as a researcher, lecturer and consultant in the field of applied psychology. This involved exploration of sleep, alertness, workload and performance in shiftworkers in the rail, road transport and other industries, as well as safeguarding through consulting and industry training. Throughout his career, Stuart has learned new skills in varied technical and creative areas. In web design from HTML and CSS in the late 1990s, to WordPress some twenty years later. In designing training materials using Powerpoint, Moodle and H5P and more recently Articulate 360.
At the core of his teching philosophy, Stuart is interested in helping students to learn to solve problems, find their strengths and connect with networks which lead to jobs. This extends to developing real-world relevant assignments wherever possible, as well as sharing the successes and failures of his own industry projects.
